    We'll prepare you fully for the next stage of training for the Bar

    You'll have the opportunity to attend our free Pre-Bar Course Advocacy Summer School. This is a week-long course, led by practising barristers, judges and experienced advocacy coaches, where you'll:

    • Be introduced to courtroom advocacy in the context of criminal litigation
    • Take part in case analysis and case preparation workshops
    • Participate in a full criminal mock trial, which will take place before a Crown Court judge in the Old Crown Court in Oxford.

    You need to pass Year 1 and Year 2. And we will consider any re-sits.

    Evidence of English language proficiency is also required. This could be either the Malaysian SPM 1119 qualifications with grade C, or IELTS 6.5 overall with a minimum of 6.0 in reading and writing and 5.5 in speaking and listening.

    Brickfields Achievement Scholarship

    You'll get up to a further £2,500 off your fees when you secure a Brickfields Achievement Scholarship. Five scholarships of £2,500 will be awarded to the best performing students who select Oxford Brookes as their first choice, and an additional five £2,000 scholarships will be awarded based on academic performance.
