Midwifery Senior Lecturer wins Investors in Education 2011 award

Robb Kightley, Senior Lecturer in Midwifery received the award of ‘Investors in Education 2011’ on behalf of the School of Health and Social Care. It is given each year by the Oxfordshire Business Education Alliance to organisations that support the education of young people in the local Oxford area.

The Marlborough School nominated the School of Health and Social Care at Oxford Brookes and commented particularly on the ‘enthusiasm and commitment’ of Robb. He had attended various Aimhigher and careers events across the county, representing the midwifery course, and also discussing other professions that the School of Health and Social Care offer. These events welcome students from the Marlborough School plus others from the county.

Robb Kightley and Liz Westcott, Head of Department, Clinical Health Care attended the presentation ceremony which took place at the Postgraduate Centre at Oxford Brookes University Business School on Friday 24th June.

Liz congratulated Robb saying “This is really excellent news and very well done for all your hard work for the school”.
