    Researching Women's Health

The health and well-being of mothers and their babies depends on many varied factors. In the early stages it can be influenced by the mother's lifestyle before and during pregnancy. Practices relating to the management of women in labour and childbirth can also influence outcomes for both mother and baby.

The Oxford Brookes University Maternal and Women's Public Health (OxBUMP) group undertakes research which aims to understand factors that help people live longer in good health by reducing preventable disease, and inform guidelines for best practice in labour and childbirth.
