Rowers start Olympic season with strong performance

  • Olympic rowersRowing brothers Richard and Peter Chambers returned from the World Cup regatta in Belgrade at the start of the Olympic season with a silver medal.

    In the lightweight men's fours, rowing with Chris Bartley and Rob Williams, their boat was pipped in a sprint finish by the Danish team.

    Alex Patridge picked up silver in the men's eights while Caroline O'Connor came home with a bronze as cox of the women's eight.

    In total, the Great Britain team claimed a haul of 12 medals, comprising four golds, six silver and two bronze.
