Accessing Brookes WiFi and internet

Brookes WiFi

Brookes WiFi is available when you are on any of our campuses and in most of our halls. You can use the WiFi before you are enrolled. Please ask at your Halls or any of our reception desks for the password.

To use the University's WiFi:

  • Open up your device's WiFi settings.
  • Choose the network called Brookes WiFi.
  • Enter the password.
  • Contact the Induction Team if you need help.


Eduroam is a free and fast service available to all University students and can be more reliable than Brookes WiFi. You can only access this network once you are fully enrolled.

To get your iOS and Windows devices connected to Eduroam:

  • Visit
  • Select Oxford Brookes from the list of institutions and install. This will automatically download the correct access for your device. 
  • When asked to log in, you will need to enter your University email address, eg, and password.

For Android devices:

  • Go straight to Google Play and install the eduroamCAT app (GEANT).
  • Select Oxford Brookes from the list of institutions.
  • Log in using your your University email address, eg, and password.


Connecting to the wired internet in your Halls room is very simple - simply plug your device cable into the socket in the wall and launch your usual browser. See wired internet in hall rooms for more information.
