BROOKESkey applications (Bus pass)

Oxford is a famous historical city, known for its beautiful buildings, scenery, cycling and social life. It benefits from great public transport and is highly accessible from anywhere in the country.

If you are travelling by bus, you can show your valid Oxford Brookes University ID on most local bus services for a single discounted travel rate.

Temporary free travel

At the start of semester, new students will receive an email welcoming them to the University. To help you settle in, the email will include a QR Code for temporary free travel on the BROOKESbus services. You will just need to scan this QR code when you use this bus service.

BROOKESkey account applications

Students can create an Oxford Bus Company BROOKESkey account, offering access to further discounted travel on their local and airline coach services.

You can apply for your BROOKESkey account as soon as you set up and have access to your Brookes email account. You will need to confirm your Brookes student number and semester-time address when applying. Students living in halls will need their confirmed hall address.

Once you have applied, you will receive an email from Oxford Bus Company giving you instructions on how to access the BROOKESkey app, so you can log in to your account. For any application or account queries, please email brookesbus@oxfordbus.co.uk.

BROOKESkey - extra Inclusive Travel Pass

In addition to the discounted travel tickets, some students are eligible for an Inclusive Travel Pass on their BROOKESkey account, allowing for free travel on the public BROOKESbuses for the academic year.

Eligibility for the extra Inclusive Travel Pass is based on the individual student's accommodation and course status.

Check the BROOKESkey webpages for more information on the BROOKESkey and full criteria for the additional Inclusive Travel Pass.
