Frequently Asked Questions

  • If you have applied for University accommodation we will email you in December to tell you if we have been able to offer you a place in halls, and if so, which hall (subject to you having an unconditional offer from the University). You will receive your licence to occupy by email prior to your arrival.

    Exchange students only - if you study at Brookes for one semester only, you will get accommodation allocated automatically 

    If you are having problems with your application please contact the Accommodation Bureau using the contact details on the accommodation web pages.

    Unfortunately we are not able to meet you at the airports during our January 2018 arrivals weekend.

    However it is easy to find your way to Oxford if you follow the information about travelling to Oxford on our website.

    Students can arrive in Halls of Residence from Saturday 20 Onwards.

    On Monday 22 and Tuesday 23 January the International Student Meeting Point will be open.

    If you are living in halls, go straight to your accommodation where they will give you your room key.

    The Halls of residence are open 10.00 - 18.00 (including Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 January 2018) for arrivals. 

    If you are arriving on Thursday for Enrolment (on Thursday 25 January), Please go to the Reception for New Students, in the John Henry Brookes Building on the Headington Campus.

    Face-to-face enrolment will be on Thursday 25 January. You may have meetings with your course before this date so please check your Induction and Enrolment schedule.

    We strongly encourage International students to attend the Welcome and Induction sessions on Tuesday 23 (Exchanges and Study Abroad students only) and Wednesday 24 January (all international students).

    If you are starting a University English, Foundation or Pre-Master’s course at Oxford Brookes International you will be emailed details of your registration time and a link to a welcome guide.

    The teaching period starts on Monday 29 January 2018. See our semester calendar for dates for the rest of the year.

    You should pay your fees when you complete online enrolment.

    If this causes you any difficulties them please contact finance-fees@brookes.ac.uk

    • If you are on a one semester course at Oxford Brookes International (for example University English) you will need to pay the full tuition fee for that course at the start of the course.
    • If you are starting a degree or a two semester course you can pay your tuition fees for the year in full in September, or in two equal instalments at the start of each semester.
    • If you have a financial sponsor you will need to provide an official letter of sponsorship from them.
