Welcome Weekend

Saturday and Sunday, 11 - 12 September

Whether you are a student moving into halls, commuting or living in Oxford, there will be online and campus events for everyone to take part in. Some halls will be running smaller welcome events over the weekend, especially on our Harcourt and Wheatley campuses, so make sure you check when you arrive at your hall.  

To help you get ready for your Induction Week and settle into Brookes, our Induction Team will be available all weekend at the Reception for New Students on the Headington Campus. We will also have our Zoom Room and phone line available from the 7 September to answer any questions you may have about starting at Brookes and make sure you get the support you need. 

Brookes Union events

Brookes Union are organising a programme of events for all our students which will include club nights in Oxford for Freshers Week. Tickets go on sale on the 11 August - see the full line up on their websiteOver the Welcome Weekend, you can find out lots more about Brookes Union by visiting their welcome fair on the Piazza at the Headington Campus. International students

The International Student Advice Team (ISAT) will be running lots of arrivals activities for new students over the Welcome Weekend. If you are an international student, there are also some important online briefing sessions you will need to attend:

Sunday 12 September 

The events below will be live online; links will be available from the 1 September.

  • 14.00-15.00 International Students' Introductory Session for undergraduate students (EU and international) including the following Pathways Students: University English and International Foundation
  • 15.00-16.00 International Students' Introductory Session for postgraduate students (EU and international) including the following Pathways Students: Pre-Masters Diploma and Two-Years Masters

Students who need to complete visa enrolment/collect their BRP card will be able to do this at the Headington Campus over Welcome Weekend. More details will be available in late August.

Collecting your student ID card

Student ID cards will be available from Welcome Weekend onwards on the Headington Campus. More details will be available in late August.
