In May, the Oxford Academic Health Science Centre (AHSC), published its second annual report.

Highlights this year for Oxford Brookes University included:

  • The gait monitoring work being conducted by our Centre for Rehabilitation, exploring physical activity and movement in older adults and people with Dementia.
  • The work of the cardio-respiratory research group at OBU in understanding chronic respiratory symptoms and their management.
  • The work of the Oxford Institute of Nursing and Allied Health Research (OxINAHR) and its hosting of the new UK Magnet Alliance.
  • The cross-institutional work being conducted for OBU's MSc Medical Genetics and Genomics programme.
  • A pilot looking at interprofessional education partnering and effective ways of teaching geriatric medicine to medical and nursing students.
