DANGEROUS ACTS

Who this event is for

  • Everyone

Location

Main Lecture Theatre, John Henry Brookes Building, Headington Campus

Details

Comprised of smuggled footage and uncensored interviews, DANGEROUS ACTS gives audiences a front row seat to a resistance movement as it unfolds both on the stage and in the streets. As the members of the Free Theater confront the choice of either repression at home or exile in the US and the UK, DANGEROUS ACTS reconfirms our belief that the power of art and hope can indeed change the world.

The Documentary Club screens documentaries made by independent film makers addressing a wide range of cultural, political and social issues. This is intended to broaden the perspectives of Brookes’s students and to engage with the broader community beyond OBU.

Each Thursday during the 2017-18 academic year at 7pm in the John Henry Brookes Lecture Theatre, Headington Campus, we screen a range of documentaries for FREE.

We welcome students, staff and members of the public to join the team of volunteers throughout the year.
