Oxford Brookes University is committed to achieving a positive and supportive working environment which protects and promotes the health and wellbeing of its employees, and enhances the staff experience. It recognises that excessive or prolonged pressure can have a negative impact on individuals and the organisation; and that this can be mitigated through appropriate action on the part of individuals and their managers.
Line managers play an important role in supporting employees to do their job effectively. Part of that role is exercising the employers’ duty of care to staff and working with colleagues to manage mental health and work-related stress.
