From Team Member to Team Manager

  • Who is it for?
    Newly recruited/promoted people managers who have not had any formal management training.

    This session focuses on the essential elements of good people management to help newly promoted managers thrive in the current climate. We will share practical tips and techniques to apply back in the workplace as well as sharing experiences as peers. We will look at the role of a manager, effective leadership styles as well as how to build trust to provide a firm foundation from which to develop as an authentic leader.

  • To introduce the essentials of good people management with practical tips and techniques to apply back in the workplace.

    Participants will:

    • Be prepared for the common challenges when in a new management role
    • Understand the role and what it takes to be an effective manager
    • Recognise different leadership styles, benefits and your own preferences
    • Identify ways of delegating effectively
    • Know how to build trust and why it is important
