Manager as Communicator

  • Who is it for?
    Any manager but particularly for those new to people management.

    This session provides managers with an increased awareness of how to make communication effective in motivating and engaging staff by creating a shared understanding.

  • To provide managers with communication awareness required in creating a shared understanding
    By the end of this workshop you will be able to

    • Explain the components of effective communication

    • Identify the barriers to effective communication

    • Demonstrate key principles of effective/assertive communication

    • Recognise different communication styles

    • Use techniques which reduce the tensions experienced in having difficult conversations

    Some recommended work - approx 30-60mins
