Introduction to Management

  • Who is it for?
    People who are new to management and managers who have not received any formal management training.

    Overview
    This is the first workshop in the series.  It focuses on the role of the manager, how to recognise different leadership styles and becoming more effective in your role.

  • To provide you with an overview of the leadership and management role, an opportunity to reflect on your own managerial style and ways to enhance your managerial practice.

    By the end of the session, you will be able to:

    • describe the role of leader and manager
    • develop your own vision
    • identify different leadership styles 
    • make choices about the way you communicate with others 
    • start working on your development as a manager

    • Tea and coffee will be available.
