    This workshop is for managers who want to ensure they are managing their teams fairly and consistently when making decisions about the day-to-day running of their departments. It will provide them with the information to make sound decisions about HR policies and procedures and to direct them to professional advice and support when appropriate.

  • At the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

    • Describe the benefits of applying a fair and consistent approach to line management
    • Carry out their role in managing these policies and procedures
    • Draw on HR resources when dealing with every day issues
    • Address staff issues according to HR policies and procedures
    • Identify HR support within their Directorate or Faculty
    • Prepare for meetings with staff to discuss HR matters
