Confidence workshop

  • Confidence workshop

  • Workshop content:

The Confidence workshop in the OCSLD Cs series introduces recent research about strategies for boosting learners' confidence and sets these in the context of enhancing students’ employability prospects.  You will be invited to explore applications for your own disciplinary teaching and Academic Advising.

    The 3 Learning Outcomes are:

    • Obtain basic knowledge of Self-Determination Theory (Deci & Ryan, 2000).

    • Identify subject-based challenges associated with learners' self-confidence.

    • Explore best practice in supporting students' self-determination.

This workshop will interest colleagues teaching in all disciplines and will be useful for teams working across the University to support students’ academic and employability success.
