  • Module Leadership workshop



  • Overview:

    • This short workshop aims to introduce individuals to the basic tenets of delivering an effective presentation. 


    Who it it for:

    • This half day workshop is for staff who are inexperienced at delivering presentations. 


    Outcomes:

    By the end of this workshop, delegates will be able to:

    • conduct a thorough initial preparation and analysis process
    • employ robust design methods to ensure presentations have maximum impact

    • create visuals that support and enhance presentation messages

    • control pre-presentation nerves

    • deliver presentations in a clear and confident manner

    • outline their follow on strategy to realise the original purpose their presentation  

  • To enable managers to communicate more effectively in order to achieve higher levels of motivation and staff engagement.  

    By the end of the session, you will be able to:

    • Explain the components of effective communication
    • Identify the barriers to effective communication
    • Demonstrate key principles of effective/assertive communication in different situations: saying no, giving feedback, etc.
    • Recognise different communication styles
    • Use techniques which reduce the tensions experienced in having difficult conversations

    Pre-workshop reflections questions are sent out in advance to aid participant interaction on the day.
