OCSLD job vacancies

  • Lecturer or Senior Lecturer (depending on your experience)

    The Oxford Centre for Staff and Learning Development (OCSLD) has a long and established reputation for supporting the educational ambitions of HE teaching staff through its work colleagues at Oxford Brookes University, and through publications, research and knowledge exchange activities, and consultancy in the sector. The Centre supports Oxford Brookes to deliver on its ambitious strategy 2035 with specific alignment of its work to the Education and Enterprise Pillar and the People and Culture Pillar.

    We provide educational development and enhancement services within Oxford Brookes University that support:

    • individual teaching staff to develop their teaching practice and scholarship, as well as recognise and encourage outstanding teaching and student education;
    • programme and module teams to design, deliver and review the effectiveness of their educational offer against our ambitions for inclusive, digitally-enabled teaching and assessment;
    • Faculties and the whole institution through evidence-informed contributions to debate and leadership of projects and interventions to develop practice, guidance and policy to ensure high quality programmes and student experiences.

    Over the next five years we plan to transform the ways we deliver our support for educational delivery by: growing our holistic and personalised professional development framework for academic staff; aligning our work explicitly to deliver institutional strategy;

    working even more closely with student voice and with students as partners across all our services; supporting the adoption of appropriate digital tools and solutions by individuals, teams and the university to meet educational goals; and by continuing to ensure that all our support is research-informed and results in evidence-based enhancements to the experiences of Oxford Brookes students and staff.

    We are recruiting people to join our expanding educational development team.
