This is a new theme which recognises our increasing interest in factors that influence student learning beyond the subject based curriculum. This includes the development of skills for learning such as critical self awareness and academic writing, as well as the impact of student support systems and academic advising.
This theme has links with the School of Education's research group on Learning, Identify and Culture.
Evaluating the graduate attributes project, including the attribute of critical self awareness and personal literacy.
The IPAD project aims to promote student engagement by teaching a cohort of undergraduates peer mentoring techniques and academic writing strategies.
The Evaluation of revised model of student support at Oxford Brookes explored the impact of the revised student support arrangements on the student experience and the work of faculty based support staff.
