Senior Fellowship Briefing

  • Feel good fest 2018

  • Do you have a sustained record of effectiveness in relation to leading teaching and learning in higher education and want to gain recognition for the impact and influence you have achieved?

Many Brookes staff may have gained the experience and evidence of working in leadership of teaching and learning capacity, either formally or informally and may wish to gain recognition for your leadership practice as a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, SFHEA.

Senior Fellowship demonstrates a thorough understanding of effective approaches to teaching and learning support as a key contribution to high-quality student learning.  You may well lead or be a member of an established academic team, that can demonstrate how your organisation, leadership and/or management of specific aspects of teaching and learning provision have had a positive impact and influence on teaching and learning over a sustained period of time.

This introductory session will outline the process of gaining Senior Fellowship recognition at Brookes.  We shall outline the elements of the criteria for SFHEA, discuss the recognition process and outline key strategies to draw out your leadership and effective impact over a sustained period of time.

This session is intended for colleagues who may be thinking of applying for SFHEA  or who would like some more information to inform their future professional development.

    Monday, 18 January 2021. 13.30-14.30.
