  • Make sure you bring a copy of your personal itinerary that you will create when booking is open - either printed or on a smartphone. This will be your timetable for the day. Show it to a member of staff to register your attendance and check where you need to go when you arrive.

If you are going to print your itinerary, we recommend you do so no sooner than one week before the open day. This is because the locations for different sessions may change and you need to bring the most up to date version of your itinerary.

After registering for the Open Day you will receive a confirmation email followed by an Open Day guide in the post nearer to the event. This guide will give you a general overview of the day as well as directions to the university including car parking locations. It will also serve as your free bus pass for you and your guests for the day. If you do not receive the guide in the post, you will be able to download it from the Open Day webpages closer to the time.

We'll also be in touch via email closer to the time with some reminders about making the most of your day.

The details of opening and closing times for our campuses will be published here closer to the event. You will create your own itinerary for the day when you book, including any subject talks you would like to attend. Make sure you book your place at any sessions you would like to attend, as they may become fully booked. Other events such as accommodation viewings and campus tours do not need to be booked as they are available throughout the day.
Make sure you check the location of the events on your itinerary to make sure you attend the correct campus. You may have to travel between campuses, which you can do easily using the free BROOKSbus services provided. You can find travel times on the individual campus pages.

You can find information about travelling to each of our campuses on our travel and parking pages. Oxford is a well connected city by car, train and coach and members of staff will be present at Oxford Railway Station and our recommended carparks across the city to help you get to the campuses you are visiting.

Travel on the BROOKESbus service is free for all members of your party by showing the driver a copy of the  Open Day guide, whether in print or on a smartphone. This will be sent to you in the post closer to the time of the event.

We provide a free BROOKESbus service for you and your guests on the day. You just need to show the driver a copy of your Open Day guide, either a printed copy or on a smartphone. You will receive the Open Day guide in the posts closer to the event - if you do not receive one in the post, you will be able to download one.

Please see our campus travel pages for details of travel times between campuses.

Some of our halls of residence will be open to look round on the day to see where you could call home at Oxford Brookes. You do not have to book to view accommodation in advance, just ask a Student Ambassador or member of staff on the day. You can also visit accommodation teams in the Information Zones on all three campuses for advice on choosing halls and to pick up a map of where our open halls are located.

More information can be found on our What's on page.

Our team of Student Ambassadors, student guides and current students in academic departments will be available on all three campuses throughout Open Day to answer your questions and provide open day information. You can ask them to point you in the right direction for what you need on the day, as well as any questions you have about student life at Oxford Brookes.
Food and drink will be available to purchase on each of our campuses throughout the day serving breakfast and lunch as well as coffee, tea and snacks. Full details about opening times and what's available can be found on our catering page.
You can bring up to two guests with you - make sure you book a place for them when booking becomes available.
You are advised to inform us of any disability requirements by contacting us in advance on +44 (0)1865 484848 or at uniopenday@brookes.ac.uk. We can make the necessary arrangements to ensure the day runs as smoothly as possible for you.
The city centre is easily accessible from each of our Oxford campuses using the U1 BROOKESbus service. You can ask a member of staff to point you towards the right bus stop and remember to show the driver your Open Day guide for free travel for you and your guests. There's a lot to see and do - try asking a current student for their recommendations if you don't know where to start!
