About this event

The Importance of Physical Activity and Health Promotion in a COVID-19 World

A webinar to explore future roles in the national sport, physical activity and health industries

This session will explore your future role in the national sport, physical activity and health agenda. We will consider the importance of a career in this field in relation to the Covid-19 global pandemic and future career opportunities with a Physical Activity and Health Promotion BSc from Oxford Brookes University.

The Covid-19 pandemic and resulting lockdowns have changed physical activity and lifestyle habits, and caused issues with both physical and mental health around the world. This taster day event will discuss what has changed because of Covid-19, and how physical activity and health promotion has a key role in shaping health and wellbeing in a world living with Covid-19.

The session will also investigate the jobs that will be of crucial importance in the coming months and years and how the Physical Activity and Health Promotion BSc being run at Oxford Brookes University prepares you for a professional life in this area - whether that be working with individual clients on a personal level or working in public health on a wider scale.

The webinar is open to teachers, parents and students who are interested in understanding the impact of Covid-19 and future career opportunities in the Physical Activity and Health professions.
