Taster Days 2022

Are you thinking about going to university this year but are unsure of what course to study? Perhaps you’re unsure of what student life will offer or what it will feel like to study at university-level?

Join us for a Taster Day and experience first-hand what university lectures are like. Our Taster Days are specially designed to give you the experience and all of the information you need to make the right choice for your future.

Keeping each other safe on campus

At Oxford Brookes we are guided by the latest advice from the UK Government. We strongly encourage visitors to wear face coverings in enclosed or crowded spaces when on our campuses.

Read more about how we keep each other safe on campus during our Applicant Days

Event programme

During this Taster Day, you will have the opportunity to meet the academics and students of our Film and Music courses, while learning more about what the courses entail. You’ll also get a better understanding of what university is like and will have the chance to explore our campus together with our Student Ambassadors.

Working in small groups, you will undertake a small filming project, recording video footage around our campus and coming up with an adequate soundtrack.

All films will be screened later in the afternoon and will be judged by our academics who will hand out awards in various categories.
