What to expect

Make the most of your visit

This drop-in event is a great opportunity for you to find out more about Oxford Brookes. You can discover our range of postgraduate courses, speak to course leaders and explore what it is like studying at Oxford Brookes.

We’ll be running activities across 2 of our main Oxford sites (Headington and Wheatley)

If you’re interested in one of our postgraduate Engineering courses you will need to travel to our Wheatley Campus. There will be a talk about the courses on offer, the opportunity to speak to the course lectures and tours of our state-of-the-art workshops, labs and computer facilities.

All other activities are taking place at our Headington Campus, including the following talks and activities:

  • subject drop-ins 
  • campus tours
  • accommodation tours
  • library tours
  • the opportunity to speak to staff from our finance, admissions, accommodation and careers teams.

Our course lectures will be available all evening on a drop-in basis to speak to you about course content and how we teach. There will also be staff from finance, admissions, accommodation, and our students’ union on hand to answer any of your questions.

Talks and presentations

We have talks covering Student life led by current postgraduate students. They’ll give you practical advice and first-hand insight into Oxford Brookes life. We also offer talks on studying for research degrees and insight from our Careers team. 



Exploring the spaces where you might live and study is an important part of an Open Evening. We offer campus, accommodation and library tours to help you find your way around and get a feel for what our campuses offer.

Accommodation tours

Discover our exclusive postgraduate accommodation with our campus tours at Headington campus. If you have specific questions about accommodation, you can speak to the Accommodation Bureau who will be located in the Forum in the John Henry Brookes Building on the evening. 

You do not have to book an accommodation viewing in advance, visit the Enquiry Centre near the main reception and ask a Student Ambassador or member of staff on the evening.
