Midwifery students in Olympics Opening Ceremony

Wednesday, 02 May 2012

Two of our midwifery undergraduate students have been selected from a large number of applicants to perform in the opening ceremony at the 2012 Olympics "Isles of Wonder" created and directed by Danny Boyle.

Alongside their onerous programme requirements of 45 weeks clinical and academic education per year, Vikki Robins and Katja Horsch have committed to a punishing schedule of 25 rehearsals of the ceremony in London.

Vikki and Katja will be 2 among 10,000 dancers at the ceremony and hopefully none of them will need the services of a midwife during the ceremony. Give us a wave girls!!
