Our research around children covers the prenatal period, up to age 18. It includes areas such as safeguarding, child protection, child health, looked-after children, and the role of the family unit including parenting, school, and community influence on child well being. Our family-focused research covers additional topics such as the development of resilience, substance misuse, homelessness, elderly care, family community services, and general practice.
This research group is a collaboration between the Oxford School of Nursing and Midwifery and the Social Work team in the Department of Sport, Health Sciences and Social Work .
