Oxford Brookes University Maternal and Women’s Public Health Group (OxBUMP) is a group of researchers, lecturers and students who aim to improve health and wellbeing for women pre-pregnancy, during pregnancy, birth and beyond.  The health and wellbeing of women and their babies depends on many factors, such as lifestyle before and during pregnancy. Lifestyle choices and care provision can influence outcomes for both mother and baby. Our research also considers how a woman’s social networks and local communities can contribute to her mental and physical health.
