We offer an exciting and innovative BSc (Hons) Paramedic Science programme, designed to provide a wide-range of learning experiences to equip you for an exciting career as a modern paramedic. During your studies you will develop specialist knowledge in core teaching and learning themes of bioscience, clinical practice education, clinical leadership and skills development, and research.
We provide comprehensive practice education placements in clinical settings throughout each academic year. As a student paramedic you will be matched with a variety of health care providers including our ambulance trust partner South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SCAS) to develop care and communication skills, and learn from multidisciplinary professionals in clinical themes relevant to paramedic practice.
Our course supports students to acquire the range of clinical attributes, knowledge and understanding required by paramedic graduates to prepare for a challenging and fulfilling career.
On Tuesday 13 March, Suzanne Rastrick, Chief Allied Health Professions Officer for NHS England, visited Oxford Brookes University’s Faculty of Health and Life Sciences to give a talk centred on the NHS England publication ‘Allied Health Professions into Action’.
