Role
Dani joined OBU in 2022 as a part-time Lecturer in Nutrition, whilst finishing her pedagogically focused PhD in Biochemical Education. She is a Registerd Dietitian (RD) with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), and was recognised as a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) in 2020. Dani is passionate about facilitating high quality student education across both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

Modules taught
Dani is the Module Leader for NUTR4007: Academic and Research Literacy Skills, and additionally teaches on NUTR5007: Lifespan Nutrition.
Research
Dani's previous work focused on defining the capabilities underpinning the biochemical sciences. This work forms the Biochemical Literacy Framework, aiming to support pedagogically rigorous undergraduate programmes in the UK and beyond.
At OBU, Dani aims to refocus on the Nutritional Sciences focusing on the effects of specific and programmatic interventions on the student experience, confidence, and skills-based learning.
