Role

I have recently joined Oxford Brookes for the 2024/5 academic year. Before working in academia as a researcher, I worked for front line domestic abuse organisations, providing support to victim-survivors of domestic abuse and stalking. I have also worked as a researcher at organisations such as SafeLives at the Centre of Expertise on Child Sexual Abuse. My research interests focus on gender based violence, with a particular interest in the rural environments.

Research

My research focus is on gender based violence, particularly in the rural context. I have also published research on the experience of older victims of domestic abuse in the British Journal of Criminology. I have presented my work at both academic conferences and conferences organised by the domestic abuse charities.
