  • the Glass Tank, Oxford Brookes' University Gallery:

Since our construction in 2012, as part of Oxford Brookes Unviersity's Space to Think development project, the Glass Tank has been delivering a high standard of University and community conscious exhibitions. Our programme has intended to disseminate our research, shed light on conceptual art, transfer ideas about the abstract and propose questions to our students, staff and the Oxfordshire public. Which, in turn, allows the Glass Tank to support Oxford as a growing cultural city and leading arts destination.

Characteristic of our name, the Glass Tank is a unique exhibition space encased in glass and found at the heart of Oxford Brookes' Headington Campus. We are open to everyone, not just students and not just staff but everyone and anyone, so please pop down and pay us a visit!

    Plan your visit:

All of our exhibitions are free admission and need no requirement for booking. We are open Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm every week unless otherwise stated.

You can find us on the ground floor of the green Abercrombie building off of Headington Road and there is street to destination access for people with disabilities.

We are also located next to the Abercrombie Cafe which serves a selection of hot and cold drinks, sweet treats and lunch from 9am-4pm throughout term time, so why not make a day of art and coffee?

Multiple toilets for both sexes, disabled toilets and baby changing facilities are all available.

Please do not hesitate in contacting us if you have any questions about your next visit by emailing tde-glasstank@brookes.ac.uk.
