As part of the Oxford School of Hospitality Management , our award-winning restaurant operates in a community of professionals dedicated to promoting excellence in food, wine and service.
Following a formal consultation process and careful consideration of responses by the Vice-Chancellor's Group, we can confirm that a decision has been taken to close Brookes Restaurant at the end of the 2019/20 academic year.
A proposed closure date for the restaurant has provisionally been set for 1 May 2020.

Mayfield Eggs started in 2004 by Joy and Gordon. Their farm is in Barnard Gate near Witney. The demand for their eggs and grown and grown and they now have over 16000 chickens laying over 14000 eggs per day! The Restaurant is on the University's Headington Campus, Gipsy Lane site, facing directly onto Gipsy Lane. Gipsy Lane is off the London Road, about a mile from Oxford city centre.
Gipsy Lane is well served by buses from the town centre and 'Park and Rides' (Thornhill and Pear Tree). Please note, that parking in the area is restricted, but we do have three reserved parking spaces that you can book in advance if you wish.
