  • BA Fine Art Single Honours Interview

    Thank you for your application to study BA Fine Art and congratulations on reaching the interview stage of the selection process.

  • BA Fine Art Single Honours Interview

    All our applicants to the single honours Fine Art undergraduate programme who meet the entry requirements are invited to attend an interview. This part of the selection process allows us to make an assessment of your potential to be a successful Fine Art student. It also gives you the opportunity to meet us and help you decide whether Oxford Brookes is the right place for you.

    The next steps you need to take are:

    • Confirm whether or not you can attend an interview and select your preferred interview date by completing the Interview Reply Form;
    • Check that a Programme Administrator has confirmed your interview date – this will be done by email;
    • Prepare a portfolio to bring to your interview;
    • Read the Guide for Applicants;
    • Find out about the interview day programme;
    • Book yourself on a Campus Tour if you haven’t already been on one;
    • Read the information about how to get to Oxford Brookes. There are no places to park on campus or in the surrounding residential areas. We recommend if you are arriving by car that you and your portfolio are dropped off at the Richard Hamilton Building and that your ‘driver’ parks in the Thornhill Park and Ride area and travels back to the campus by bus. This is likely to take between 30 and 40 minutes depending on traffic.
  • Please bring a portfolio of your most relevant and recent work.

    Please do not bring every piece of work you have ever done! We simply wouldn’t have time to look at everything. The aim of the portfolio review is to provide us with a representative picture of what you are doing and possible future developments. Make sure that what you put in your portfolio reflects your aspirations as an artist and your reasons for applying to the Brookes Fine Art course.

    You will be asked to take the lead in discussing the contents of your portfolio, so please make sure that you organise your work in a way that makes sense to you and to others.
