The Harcourt Hill campus is small so it is easy and quick to find people or places. The campus has a well-facilitated library and ICT suites which are open 24 hours. There is also a gym and swimming pool

Apart from really enjoying the company of young children, I believe that education directly affects the future of an individual. I have had different cultural experiences and situations which have shaped both my beliefs and way of living, and I want to share these with the new generation and hopefully inspire them to make good choices. This is what I want for my own children, and if I get the chance to do it on a wider scale then it is perfect. Oxford Brookes University has a very good reputation and the fact that the course offered to specialise in Special Needs Education was very attractive to me.

Since starting the course I have gained many skills, such as researching and team work. I have expanded my knowledge and understanding of planning, teaching and assessing to promote children's learning.

My academic adviser has been brilliant whenever I have needed her and module tutors have been understanding and supportive. Other Brookes staff have also provided excellent services (library staff, science department staff and ICT staff). I have met some really good friends that I would like to keep in touch with when we finish.

I aim to hopefully apply for work in January, move back to Sheffield in July and start teaching in my own classroom in September.
