Dinti Batstone

Dinti BatstoneDinti Batstone is Vice-Chair of Campaign for Gender Balance, the Liberal Democrat campaign to get more women elected to Parliament.

Politically active for the last decade, she has served as a local Councillor and stood as a European Parliament candidate in London. Elected last year to the Liberal Democrats’ key Policy Committee, Dinti works with MPs and peers on a range of issues, including political and constitutional reform. Combining politics with consultancy and raising a young family, Dinti is a passionate advocate for radical changes to Westminster’s working practices she has been interviewed about her proposals in a range of media, including BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour.

Prior to entering politics, Dinti had a successful career as an international lawyer and businesswoman. She qualified and practised at City law firm Linklaters before moving to global television production company FremantleMedia where she negotiated and structured deals across Europe, the Middle East and Latin America. A former ‘UK Young Linguist of the Year’ with an MBA from INSEAD business school in France, Dinti was profiled by Management Today as one of a new breed of ‘global cosmopolitans’ working multilingually and across cultures.
