How will the programme affect me?

Staff

It is expected that all staff connected to teaching will have to be involved in the implementation of elements of the Programme to Enhance the Student Experience. However no one outside of the Programme's steering group will be involved in every project - most staff will only be involved in a small number and the timing of the implementation of each of the projects has been deliberately staggered to make this easier.

Each project has its own communications plan and OCSLD is working with project sponsors to consider training needs, so all staff involved will be supported as they get ready to make the changes the Programme will require.

There are more details on the Training and Development Pages.

Students

It is hoped that in time the Programme will make a material and positive difference to the experience students get whether they study on campus or at one of our partner colleges.

But also a key part of the Programme is to ensure students are consulted and involved in the projects. Through their Union students can get involved in the projects to build the overall involvement of students in academic decision making processes, to develop student led apps and help develop department student associations.

If you are interested in getting involved you should contact the Student Union's general Manager David Whittingham.
