  • Situated in our Marston Road campus, the Occupational Therapy programmes have  excellent facilities and spaces in which to study.

The Clinical Simulation Suites at Oxford Brookes will enable you to develop your skills within a range of  realistic clinical settings which will prepare you to become the safe and well skilled health professionals of the future. You will be able to familiarise yourself with extensive specialist equipment and anatomic models and where appropriate practise skills on highly realistic, full size manikins which have simulated vital signs which can be programmed with a variety of health and social care scenarios.

These specially designed clinical skills suites, include an Activity of Daily Living Suite, a Ward Environment, and a Communications Suite. The Activity of Daily Living suite is designed to recreate typical home environments, where students can learn to support and maintain people in their own homes; learning how to safely use hoists, wheelchairs, walking equipment and aids for bathing and toileting.

Our Communications suite can be configured in a variety of ways, for example as a typical interview room, a counselling suite or as a living room scenario. This will develop your ability to deliver clear, consistent and unambiguous information to people and assess their needs effectively.

All our skills suites are equipped with SMOTS CCTV to enable students to receive video review of their skills practice.
