The BSc or MSc (pre -registration) Physiotherapy courses will launch you
into the national and international world of Physiotherapy. You will be
eligible to register with the HCPC (Allied Health Profession regulatory body)
and call yourself a Physiotherapist. This means you will be highly employable
in a wide variety of settings including the NHS, charities and others organisations
where the skills of physiotherapists are in great demand. We will give you
placement experiences in mainstream and emerging areas of practice, including
Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, a world renowned centre of
clinical excellence and one of the largest NHS teaching trusts in the UK.
The
Physiotherapy team will support you to develop the
professional skills, values, knowledge and research required to work with
people with diverse health needs in a wide variety of health and community settings.
You will be taught by, and learn with, colleagues and students from a variety
of allied health and exercise professions with an emphasis on collaborative
practice.
Student Experience
The student experience is paramount and we work in close partnership with
students and practice education providers to ensure that the student is at the
centre of what we offer. Students are involved in our recruitment process and
our key programme committees. We offer a close, friendly and supportive
environment in which to learn, and consistently receive very high satisfaction
ratings from our students and our regulatory bodies.
Collaboration
We benefit from excellent collaborative working with leading local
health care providers such as the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation
Trust and Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust as well as those further afield.
We work with service users to ensure that what we offer you meets the needs of
the service. We believe we offer some of the best physiotherapy placement
experiences you could wish for to enhance your learning experience throughout
your studies. Many of these settings have world class reputations for their
quality and innovation and are at the cutting edge of research and practice
development. Others are small local charities where physiotherapists help
people maximise their quality of life.
