Who this event is for:

  • Research staff

Research commercialisation is the process by which new or improved technologies, products, processes and services are brought to market. The benefits of research commercialisation include building strong engagement and partnerships with business, generating impact and diversifying income. It can also be a source of personal satisfaction by helping you develop entrepreneurial skills and explore a new career trajectory.

Could an idea resulting from your research become a commercial opportunity? At this session we will hear about funding and support available to you, from our experts in the Directorate of Research, Innovation and Enterprise. We will also hear from a successful academic entrepreneur on the challenges and rewards of commercialising a research idea and from a senior research leader on the value of commercialisation.
