West Waddy ADP win an award for 'Excellence in Masterplanning and Design' at RTPI South East Planning Awards

Town planners, urban designers and architects West Waddy ADP have won a prestigious planning award for ‘Excellence in Masterplanning and Design’ at the Royal Town Planning Institute’s (RTPI) South East Planning Awards for their Oxford Brookes University Masterplan.

The RTPI South East Awards highlight exceptional examples of planning and design and celebrate the contribution that planners and planning make to society.  The judges felt that West Waddy ADP’s Oxford Brookes Masterplan is unique in the sense that “what really sets it apart is its ability to unlock the campus, not only to students, but also to the local community”.

This award success is the result of 10 years of working with Oxford Brookes in devising a long-term vision for the Headington Campus. The masterplan was seen as an example of an exemplar planning process and delivery in consultation and engagement with local amenity groups, local authorities and the residents of Oxford.

Town Planning and Masterplanning Partner, John Ashton, said :

“Our firm’s vision is to be an outstanding built environment consultancy. What better way to demonstrate this than by winning this prestigious award for Excellence in Masterplanning and Design. West Waddy ADP were very proud to work with a local and such highly thought of organisation and delighted to have met the University’s brief in helping to ensure that Oxford Brookes University could achieve and maintain the longevity and success that it aspires to for its next 150 years of service.”.
