A temporary screen has been installed at the western
end of the ground floor, approximately 1.5 metres from the end wall near the
lift and former OBIS shop.
Access through the area will remain available at all
Metal heras fencing will be removed and a picket fence
will be added to the raised lawn.
Campus users are asked to refrain from walking or
sitting on the grass until it is bedded in.
Block paving will be laid starting Monday for several
weeks, erratic noise can be expected but should not disrupt nearby building
Just next to the Colonnade the final part of the tree
planting is scheduled to happen this week.
Once the trees have been planted the metal fencing
will be moved back and more of the Piazza will open up.
Inside John Henry Brookes Building
The climate management system within JHBB has had a
number of settings changed. The management of temperature, window control and
carbon dioxide levels will improve during the system’s commissioning.
Access around John Payne will be disrupted from 14
April to 17 April.
Due to scaffolding and maintenance work going on
overhead, the ramp and steps next to Cheney Field will be closed from 08.00 to
Room – temporary move
The refurbishment of the Fuller building has now
commenced. This work will provide new units for the maintenance team, post,
stores and print unit.
The Post Room is relocating for the duration of these
works. The Post Room which is currently located in Fuller room 06 has relocated
to the Headington Hill site for the duration of the works and will return to
the Fuller building on completion.
The new temporary home for the post room will be HK42.
