Hand clinic

  • The Hand Clinic has closed temporarily at the moment due to staff resources but it is hoped to re-open at some stage in the future.

    What is the Hand Clinic?

The Hand Clinic at Marston Road is part of Oxford Brookes University. The Clinic is led by a registered and experienced occupational therapist (OT) and former Brookes University OT lecturer who specialises in hand therapy (Pam Anderson), together with other lecturers of the OT programme (all HCPC registered therapists), and is also a recognised provider for some insurance companies.

The Clinic is also a learning environment and, with your permission, OT and physiotherapy students will be offered opportunities to observe the clinic consultation and treatment sessions.

The Clinic provides a full range of hand treatment across the lifespan (children, adults and older persons).

How do I make an appointment?

Staff at Brookes can refer themselves directly to the Hand Clinic.

    Email: handclinic@brookes.ac.uk

    Tel: +44(0)1865 485 250

A referral may also be made to the Hand Clinic following an assessment made by the OH Adviser.  This may follow a self-referral or a management referral to OH.  Referrals may form part of a rehabilitation plan and be incorporated into a phased return to work and agreed at the discretion of the Line Manager.
