Banner by Ellucian is our new Student Records System!

Friday, 31 March 2017

Following a competitive tender exercise for the procurement of our new Student Record System (SRS), we are pleased to announce Ellucian Global Ltd as the provider of our new SRS.

Ellucian was approved by the University's Board of Governors as the recommended supplier for the implementation, ongoing maintenance and support of Oxford Brookes University’s new SRS.

The aims of the Student Records System (SRS) Programme are to procure and implement an SRS with Document Management and Workflow Capabilities in combination with integrated Customer Relationship Management (CRM) functionality.

Our rigorous evaluation process demonstrated that Ellucian is able to provide a system which best fits the University’s requirements and is in line with our strategic direction. This system is named Banner.

Banner is a modern, flexible and fully-featured system that offers the kind of capability and user interface that staff and students will expect and need.

The University was particularly encouraged by Banner’s solutions in the areas of:

  • Curriculum management
  • Enrolment, registration and progression
  • Flexibility in meeting different modes and pathways of study
  • Student finance, exams management and postgraduate research, among others
  • Auditing, communications management, workflow and document management
  • Student and staff interface

So what’s next?

We’ll now work closely with Ellucian to start implementing Banner. This will involve the continued reliance on skills, expertise and support of staff from across the University.
