The Oxford Brookes project management framework has been designed to incorporate a Gateway at each critical stage of the project lifecycle. A Gateway is the decision point at which the project must present specified information/evidence to gain consideration and approval from the appointed Project/Programme or Executive Board to proceed to the next Stage. At each Gateway point, the decision to be made by the appropriate Board will be either to gain a) approval with instruction to proceed to next Stage, b) decision deferred until further specified information is provided for consideration, or c) the project, at that stage of the project lifecycle, is rejected.
All projects managed by Oxford Brookes must be compliant with the Gateway process.
Within the VPO+ project management web pages, each Gateway is accompanied with guidance notes of what is required to ensure that the project is compliant with good practice.
For assistance with any element of project management, please contact the VPO+ on 07436 832262.
