Gateway 5: Stand down

  • At Gateway 5, the Project Board will seek confirmation that implementation of the project is complete. It will also require an initial assessment of lessons learned and anticipated benefits to be realised supported by a robust Benefits Management Plan to be in place.

    The Project Board will be required to assess that the operational service will meet business needs effectively, affordably and sustainably and is delivering its expected benefits.

    The Brookes Project Registry is to be fully updated with the project outcomes.

  • Key actions

    • Evidence gained that all products of the project are completed and approved
    • Key project documentation reviewed with updated actuals e.g. PID, Project Plan, risks and financial costings
    • End Project Report completed
    • Initial assessment of the project in terms of lessons learned and benefits, supported by a Benefits Management Plan

    Key outcomes

    • End Project Report plus any supporting documentation reviewed
    • Approval for formal closure of project
    • Deliverables formally handed over to Faculty/Directorate owner to manage
    • Project closes and team stood down.
    • VPO+ update Brookes Projects Registry and Lessons Learned library to benefit future projects
