First Aid at Work

About the workshop

This course is for anyone who is nominated to become a first aider at work. The number of first aiders at Oxford Brookes are worked out from an assessment of needs in consultation with Faculties and Directorates and Occupational Health.

All first aid courses are run in-house and scheduled at the start of each academic year by Occupational Health in consultation with OCSLD and the first aid trainer. Please contact Occupational Health (ext 5772 or ocsld@brookes.ac.uk) if you have any queries relating to first aid courses

Content

The First aid at work training course provides the comprehensive set of practical skills needed by first aiders to become a confident first aider at work, providing both the ability and knowledge to deal with first aid emergencies. It meets the standards required to help comply with Health and Safety (First aid) regulations.

There will also be a written assessment at the end of the course.

Cancellation

This course is paid for by HR. However if you are unable to attend a course we require a minimum of 5 working days' notice of non-attendance, otherwise a cancellation charge will be made covering the full course fees.
