I chose Computer Science because I've been interested in computers since age of 4 and my parents', as well as my older brother's everyday jobs involve computers, which inspired me greatly. The reason I chose Oxford Brookes is because of how friendly the atmosphere was when I visited for a Department Day. It was all thanks to the lecturers and student volunteers that played a great part in my decision process.

I find the subject fascinating but also the course at Brookes allows you to study the things you're most interested in by letting you decide what modules you do. I chose to study at Brookes as I really liked the environment the whole university had , plus being in Oxford gives great opportunities to learn about different cultures in one amazing city.
Student tip - Make sure to use your NUS card but also not to shut yourself out and enjoy the time you have at university by joining societies and getting to know your class mates.

I chose business management because I grew up in an entrepreneurial family and this made it feel more natural to study it. I combined it with CMC because the course structure and content excited me. Brookes is located in a beautiful, peaceful and historical city. The University offers great student support and really puts emphasis on being diverse.

I chose to do a combined degree due to the wide range of opportunities that can come from studying two subjects. Publishing and CMC consisted of many modules that I knew I would enjoy studying. After attending one open day at Brookes I decided it was the right environment for me to study in. The staff and students were extremely helpful and always very friendly.
Student tip - Even if you are skeptical, try to join a few societies! It's a great way of meeting people that you may not normally get to meet and there's something for everyone to get involved in.

Tech is all around us and I wanted to understand how the latest technologies are created. I think that the career prospects in the tech industry are incredibly good. I live in Oxfordshire and when I visited an open day I fell in love with the idea of studying here. Everyone was so friendly and there was a real emphasis on building a strong community.
Student tip - Do as much work experience as you can while at Uni. You'll be grateful for it on your CV when you’re looking for a placement.

My junior year of high school I enrolled in a Film class which lead me to want to learn more. Even though I enjoy working behind the camera, I decided to focus on the Communications aspect of film. When I attended open day the staff and students were extremely helpful and my course of study was stimulating. Brookes is fairly diverse and as an international student these qualities are important.
Student tip - Take advantage of the student discounts! Apply for an NUS and look up places where you can get student discounts with your student card. You will be surprised at all the places you can get money off.

I've always had a passion for technology and computing. Be it photography, social media or blogs, I'm always using it. Therefore, to learn about it in more detail sounded like a good plan. The city of Oxford is an amazing place and was a great stepping stone for someone like me, coming from a little village to a big city. The people are so lovely and Brookes' facilities are first class.
Student tip - If you love food, take a trip to Cowley Road and you won't be disappointed. Enjoy yourself and make memories. Take photos that you can look at when you're older and laugh at. You're only young once!
