Accommodation fees
Oxford Brookes offers a variety of hall and housing choices. Most of our halls are managed by the University. For these halls, your first payment will be your first rent charge, due in early October. However, some halls do require a deposit or rent advance as part of confirming the booking. Please visit the hall pages for more information.
If you accept a place in a third-party/partnership hall, payment arrangements will be different. Please refer to the provider's own website for full information.
Payments are made online via our Accommodation Portal. The portal accepts Visa Credit, Visa Debit, Mastercard and Electron. You will receive an email shortly before each due date to remind you that your rent is due.
If you are paying on a student's behalf, you can use our online payment system. Any amount from £10 to the full balance can be paid. You will need the student ID and date of birth when making the payment.
When you accept your contract, you can select your preferred instalment plan. Whichever you choose, the total price is always the same. You can also change your instalment plan later if you wish.

You can pay the full amount at the beginning of your tenancy. - Three instalments
You can choose to pay in three instalments which coincide with when you receive your student loan. The dates for 2023-24 are 2 October, 5 February and 15 April (dates subject to change). This option is designed for UK students using a Higher Education Maintenance Loan from the Student Loans Company. If you choose this option, your full contract will be split into (approximate) thirds and charged to you on the above dates. Please note that the three payment dates do not directly coincide with the period of time you are paying for. - Eight instalments
Rental changes are payable on the first day of each month (October until May). For Brookes Lettings contracts the monthly option will be between 9 and 11 instalments, depending on the contract length.
The prices given are for all contracts starting in September 2023 and one semester contracts starting January 2024. These prices are correct at the time of publication (April and November 2023). Current students should always refer to their Accommodation Portal account for the most up-to-date information.

These contracts are for the period 20 January 2024 until 7 June 2024 (139 nights) and can be paid in 1, 2 or 4 instalments.

- 2 instalments (due 6 February and 20 April)
- 4 instalments (due 6 February, 1 March, 1 April and 1 May)
These contracts are for the period 20 January 2024 until 3 January 2025 (349 nights) and can be paid in 1, 3 or 11 instalments.
- 1 instalment (due 5 February)
- 3 instalments (due 5 February, 15 April and 2 October)
- 11 instalments (due 5 February followed by the 1st of each month from March until December)
