Oxford Brookes University is working with Santander Universities to offer grants to local small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to provide final year Oxford Brookes University students and recent graduates (up to 3 years) with internships.
The idea is to support students who want to gain essential work experience and to also give organisations the chance to find future talent and develop their own staff.

Benefits of the scheme
Previous SMEs have recruited students and graduates in Marketing, Events, Design, Property and Architecture roles. 18 students benefited from the Santander Internship Programme last year.
Key facts
- Internships can last between 4 and 8 weeks
- SMEs can receive up to £1,260 in funding
- Students/graduates will be paid a minimum of £315 per week (based on a 35 hour week)
- Students/graduates must be eligible to work in the UK
- Interns must be an Oxford Brookes final year student or recent graduate (from the last three years)
