What is involved

  • Overview

  • Internships have a standard length of 12 months, from September to August.
All Internships are full time positions – you will be expected to work 37 hours per week. Occasionally, for some of the Internship roles, you might be asked to participate in the evening or weekend events.
This is a paid internship complemented by a developmental programme.
Yes. In addition to a comprehensive training programme, Brookes interns will receive a salary of £16,881.25 per annum.
The scheme is open only to final year Brookes’ students who are graduating from undergraduate programmes in the 2019/2020 academic year.
Yes. International students from outside the EU are welcome to apply. If appointable, the University will work with charitable organisation Access Tier 5 to apply for a Certificate of Sponsorship under the Tier 5 scheme. If the application is successful, the International student will then be able to apply for a Tier 5 visa. The cost of the visa and any related costs such as the healthcare surcharge will be covered by the student. The student can only commence employment on the Internship scheme once the Tier 5 visa has been granted.
The generic person specification document for all Internships defines the qualities and skills we are looking for in a candidate.

If you meet the eligibility criteria, take a look at our available internships and see if anything appeals to you.

You will be asked to complete an application form for up to 3 Internships roles of your choice.

The deadline to apply is the 22 March 2019.

You can email (GraduateInternships@brookes.ac.uk) if you have any further questions regarding the scheme.

It depends. We would hope to already equip you with the necessary skills and work experience so that you could successfully apply for the roles either within Oxford Brookes University or outside this organisation. Nearly 100% of our Interns have secured graduate level roles after their Internships with Brookes!
